Obscura Island was an interactive, site-specific, performance installation on a roundabout in the the centre of Birmingham city. Audiences of two watched a choreographed performance from inside a camera obscura, as three actors intermingled with the everyday life of this simultaneously strange and ordinary space.
This project was one of the artworks selected for the Birmingham Camera Obscura R&D programme.
‘Obscura Island’ premiered on the Holloway Circus roundabout in Birmingham on June 16th 2016.
